Downtown Alive, a new community-led nonprofit brings a vibrant vision for all residents
HOLLY SPRINGS, NC, August 17, 2024 — Downtown Alive invites the community to “Back to school Bash” an evening of music, games, activities for all ages, refreshments and an opportunity to learn more about our unique local businesses. The new non-profit will be sharing more about its desire to foster community development, and its vision for a vibrant hub where residents and local businesses can connect and thrive.
“We started Downtown Alive in response to the growing desire from the community for more activities, events, and opportunities to engage with each other and our local businesses,” shares Chris Harol, President of Downtown Alive, “the organization exists to foster community development. Everyone is invited and belongs; we want to recognize and support our local businesses and promote memorable experiences for everyone in our developing vibrant village-hub!”
Downtown Alive will be hosting at least eight major events a year as well as several smaller events. Local businesses of all sizes can purchase memberships as well as sponsor events. Community members can become an annual ally where their support helps fund exciting events and initiatives designed to enhance the village district vibrancy. Later in the year, an art project will be started where our business members and community supporters will be able to contribute to a portion of the design.
We are excited for you to share your spirit at the heart of Holly Springs. Join the energy on August 17 at Saturday Night Alive! We’ll have live music by Clare Means, a pop-up arcade by Save Point, a kids zone with bounce houses, face painting and balloon animals from Magic By David, a ninja warrior obstacle course by Rock Solid Warrior and martial arts training by Kim’s Young In Martial Arts.
